Mindfulness Programs
Research-Based Mindfulness Education for
Schools and Communities
Formerly Mindful New Jersey
We partner with schools and organizations throughout Bergen County to bring research-based mindfulness programming that supports student attention, emotional regulation, and social-emotional learning. Our approach is grounded in neuroscience research and designed to integrate seamlessly into educational settings with a primary focus on elementary schools (K-5).
For Schools:
In-School Mindfulness Programming
Our primary focus is in-school mindfulness programming for elementary schools (K-5), preschools, and secondary students.
Schools are increasingly recognizing mindfulness as an essential tool for supporting student wellbeing and academic success. We currently partner with Ridgewood Public School’s Infant Toddler Develoment Center and Palisades Country Day School, providing weekly programming and professional development for staff. We work primarily with elementary schools (K-5), as well as preschools and secondary schools to integrate mindfulness practices into the school day.
Program formats:
Weekly classroom sessions (20-30 minutes)
Short-term introductory units (4-8 weeks)
Semester or year-long programming
After-school enrichment options
Teacher professional development
Parent education workshops
Programs are tailored to your school's schedule, goals, and student needs.

Elementary School Programming (K-5)
Elementary school is when children develop foundational skills in attention, emotional awareness, and self-regulation. Weekly mindfulness sessions support academic learning, social-emotional development, and overall wellbeing.
What elementary programming includes:
Age-appropriate breath and body awareness practices
Mindful movement and attention games
Emotional literacy and regulation strategies
Kindness practices and perspective-taking
Integration with academic content where appropriate
Flexible scheduling: Sessions can be integrated into specials, enrichment time, morning meetings, or as dedicated mindfulness periods.
Teacher support included: Professional development sessions help classroom teachers reinforce practices throughout the day.
Afterschool and Club Programs
In addition to our in-school mindfulness programs, we offer a variety of after-school workshops and classes tailored to the specific needs of teams, clubs, and organizations.
Whether it's a sports team looking to enhance focus and performance, a student council seeking to improve communication and collaboration, or a club interested in exploring mindfulness practices for stress reduction, our workshops are designed to provide valuable tools and skills for students of all ages.
We work closely with each school and organization to create customized experiences that align with their goals and values.
Beyond school-day programming, we offer mindfulness workshops for educators, corporate teams, and community organizations.
For Educators: Professional development workshops that support teacher wellbeing and provide tools for integrating mindfulness into classrooms.
For Organizations: Workplace wellness programs designed to enhance focus, reduce stress, and foster more positive work environments.
For Community Groups: Workshops at wellness centers, yoga studios, parent groups, and community organizations.

What people are saying…

Today... my son gushed and said you were the mindfulness teacher, and how much he loved class. I couldn’t believe how much he opened up and was engaged.
Kathryn P.
(Parent of 4-Year Old) -
Kevin held an 8 week Mindfulness course for my 2's, 3's and Pre-K 4's classes at the Infant Toddler Development Center. The children responded with enthusiasm and excitement, and it was amazing to witness the calmness that took over in the classroom. Kevin's approach and presentation of breathing techniques helped guide the children toward practicing mindfulness and meditation. Many parents commented that their children were coming home teaching breathing exercises to their families!

This was a treat to experience. When our children learn to “lean in” to mindfulness, they can learn to quiet their minds, practice better focus, and enjoy a more calm demeanor.
